一、团队负责人
徐建明 教授，美国Baylor College of Medicine细胞与分子生物学系终身教授，现任肿瘤医学研究所所长。主要研究方向为肿瘤生物学，在FGFR、TGF-beta 受体、核受体、转录共激活因子和乳腺癌、前列腺癌发生、转移等过程中关键转录调控因子的调节方面取得了很多原创性的研究成果。在Science、Nature Reviews Cancer、Development Cell、Cell Metabolism、 Molecular Cell、PNAS和Cancer Research等杂志上发表论文130余篇, 累计期刊影响因子超过800，累计论文引用频率高达几千次。现为美国内分泌协会、美国癌症研究协会终身会员，担任J Biol Chem、International Journal of Biological Sciences、Cell & Bioscience、American Journal of Translational Research和第三军医大学学报等杂志编委。

三、研究方向
肿瘤医学研究所结合现代生物学，基础医学，临床医学和流行病学的知识，技术和资源，研究乳腺癌及其它恶性肿瘤的起源，生长，转移和预后的规律与分子机理，为最终预防和治疗癌症作出贡献。本所当前的研究方向主要是探索成纤维细胞生长因子信息传递系统在乳腺癌生长中的贡献，分子调控机理以及在抗癌药物开发中的应用。
